Tiny Treasures Papillons
Cadiz, KY
Welcome to

The Papillon derives its name from its characteristic butterfly-like look of the long and fringed hair on the ears. Papillons are generally outgoing, happy dogs that enjoy sitting in laps as much as they like running around the house. Although lively and energetic, they are not considered high-strung, nervous or fearful, and they do not bark excessively. Life expectancy is 13-15 years.
Tiny Treasures Papillons
Located in Western Kentucky
We are located in Cadiz, Kentucky (near Land Between The Lakes and Hopkinsville). You are welcome to pick up your puppy here or we can have it delivered to you for an extra fee. We use a ground transport company that delivers right to your front door nationwide. And if you want to fly in, the closest big airport is Nashville, TN.

While papillons can make excellent family dogs, great care should be taken around very small children.
Papillons are hardier than they look, but they are still very small-boned dogs and can easily be hurt by children playing too rough.
You will also see a lot of people who walk their dogs using a harness instead of a collar so that there is less pressure on their esophagus. This is a small, fluffy dog, and big dogs can sometimes be a problem. It can be advantageous to just lift your dog up and out of harms way by their harness when walking them.
Our Story
I had never been around Papillons before, but saw one when visiting a friend's house and fell in love. I like the idea of a small pet, they are easy to travel with, love to sit with you (okay, on you half the time) and this breed is so intelligent. We don't do agility with ours, but I see so many videos of Papillons excelling at agility. We have a few acres and a big house and so we bought one. And then they became like potato chips, you can't have just one, until we acquired a few more. They look at you with such intensity - you know they say a well trained Papillon will never steal food off of your plate - they will guilt you into giving it to them.

We produce mostly tri-color puppies at this time. More sables are coming as we expand. But tri-color puppies are normally born looking black and white. Many people do no realize that the brown spots on a tri-color are sometimes there at birth, and sometimes not (they come in after two or three weeks). And some sable puppies look black and white at birth too.
This is why we have you pick your puppy at 4 weeks old - so that you know a little more about their looks and their personalities when you pick your puppy.

wonderful to
work with and
Joan was very
responsive to messages! Joan was fabulous and made sure that I felt comfortable during the entire process. She had both regular and video calls with me and the other buyers, including regular photos of the puppies and their Mom. Tiny Treasures
was so good to
work with. Joan
was always an
email or a text
away with any question I had concerning our puppy. She sent me updates and pictures and even did a zoom video which really gave me the connection I was looking for.
Everything she told me was exactly as she said. She really cares about her puppies and continues to follow up. Ava is very attached to me, follows me everywhere…but loves all family members especially the grandkids! Her coat is coming in heavy and very silky, just beautiful!

Joan was
amazing! She
always kept me
updated on what
was going on.
She would answer questions in a timely matter. And of course, she would send me pictures of my baby before I got him. She even coordinated the transportation company for me and he arrived at my door with arms wide open. I was also impressed how neat and organized all the paper work was when getting my baby. If you are looking for a papillon, Tiny Treasures Papillons with Joan is the way to go. Thanks again Joan for everything!!!

Our puppies are born and raised in the house. They start out with mom in a crate (which we can monitor from anywhere via security camera) and then once weaned, move to an x-pen where we have set up separate eating, playing/sleeping and potty areas to help them start to be housebroken.
